Windsor Biosolids Improvement Project

Outside view of a brick building.

Interstates completed the electrical installation of a new biosolids building and three digester tanks for the Town of Windsor. The biosolids building consisted of four blowers for the digester tanks, two screw presses to process solids to be hauled off, and a new electrical room, including an ATS, switchboard, MCC, VFD cabinets, and 480V and 120V panelboards. Interstates also coordinated with the utility company, Poudre Valley REA, to locate and install a new utility transformer for the new processes.

Key Scope Components

  • Coordination with the electric utility provider to install a new transformer to feed the new processes.
  • Careful routing of a new duct bank to the existing administration building due existing congested underground conditions.
  • Coordination with the structural engineer and general contractor on the underslab/inslab conduits and openings through multiple floors for conduit racks for more efficient routing through the structure.
