Central Valley Ag Project

Interstates completed construction of a greenfield grain handling facility for Central Valley Ag in Linn, KS. We handled power engineering, automation controls, and electrical design and construction for the new grain terminal, which is equipped to handle 3.5 million bushels of grain. The swampy setting and extra planning could have set the schedule way behind, but open lines of communication from the general contractor down to the vendors resulted in maximum coordination and efficiency.

Key Scope Components

Automated the entire site - the plants chief controller can move trucks forward/backwards to load trucks via camera and automated gates.

Prefabrication - Panel Boards for MCC Rooms and Main Vertical Rack, which was installed on the main leg of the tower. Installed 80% of the upright conduits in one afternoon with five electricians.

Installed electrical power for all conveyors and grain handling equipment motors, along with sensors and alarms for automation and Hazard Monitoring systems.
